Shinigami-san, What is your JD?

It's amazing how their imagination of what a shinigami does is. In one show, the shinigami are monsters who carry around a notebook to kill a person once their time is up. In another the shinigami are in robes killing off monster who tries to feed on innocent souls who are still stuck on earth. In other shows, they carry a sickle around looking for the people who are about to die to bring them over. In this one, they judge on whether the person has fulfilled their duties before giving the 'okay' to 'proceed'. There are too many version of the JD but they all have one thing in common. They would be with the person whose time is up.
