Worthless glass marbles spilled out from our palms
We gathered them up like diamonds and laughed, never ending days.
We started off as little boys who live at the low income family apartment. We had nothing much to do but play at the playground nearby. There we were introduced to a game called marbles. Since that day where we first saw the game, we are so into it that we started collecting marbles. The marbles were sold at very cheap prices but they were our pride.
I like how those marbles roll off my hand and onto the ground. They represent us in the game and winning the opponents' marble brought joy to us. Though they are times where we lost our precious marbles, the times where we won and pick up the marbles, those marbles seems to be worth much more.
They seem to be like sparkling diamonds in our palms and we laughed at that simple knowledge. Our days were never ending passing us by with just a simple marble game.

They called us fake but nobody had the guts to look us in the eye
Our story is shining brighter than any jewel
Years passed and we made a name for ourselves. However we were often called FAKE and that we cheated in getting where we are. However I feel that they are simply just jealous of us.
I still remember the way they all said those things to us, they weren't even looking at us properly and had a sour face. It just goes to show how much they hate being pushed behind by us. We smiled at each other knowing that our story is shinning much more than any other band. And I am glad about that and will never forget the journey we took to be here on stage today in front of thousands of fans.

We were in junior high school when we started to listen to songs by rock bands and started to be interested in them. We started to save up for our own guitar. It took us a long time with the little amount of pocket money that we got everyday. However during that time we started to learn how to read scores and guitar tabs. We even borrowed the music teacher's guitar whenever he lets us. He even taught us a few things. However he often said that with just music it will not bring us anywhere. He told us to concentrate on our studies instead.
But we can't. We were so into music that we would never stop singing. We would often use the tables as drums and we would always do air guitar whenever we can't get the teacher's guitar.
By the time we got our own guitar, we are already in high school. However by then we couldn't really be bothered with our studies and so with just our guitars we decided to try the music industry. We left school; we left home and got ourselves a part time job while trying to prove ourselves as a band with good music.
Things didn't always go as planned. The music industry is a difficult place to be. You got to be really good and have the passion to be there. We believe in ourselves and carried on. It doesn't matter what happens in the end as long as we are doing what we love the most. No matter how high the sky is, once we start flying there won't be a limit as to how high we can fly.
At first, all we had were little shows at pubs, cafes and such. Even though we have been doing it for quite some time, we are still far from being a pro. Though it may get us down, we didn't use it as an excuse to run away from it. Instead we still walk on proudly and move on for more shows.
It doesn't matter if we are playing our own weird tunes or we are singing off beats or even stupid lyrics. All that matter is that we are doing it for ourselves. We are doing something we believe in. We are singing our own happy stupid songs.
And we are happy that we did. It’s all because we reached our goal of being famous and that our songs have reached to everyone around us. However our lives are not eternal so one day we will leave. However the music that we leave behind will forever be etch in everyone's heart.

Our shining memories and unchanging emotions won’t fade as time goes by
And so with our songs we leave a message to all. You may think that the world is against you and that it makes you sad. However crying never really solves anything. So don't cry, it's not worth it. Even if you are alone, smile and you will feel better. With that one smile, you will feel that it doesn't even matter if the whole world is against you. You own your own live so take control.
All our feeling will come and go. At a point of time where you feel sad don't let it get to you. Don't give up even if things are not going your way. Even if things start to crumble don't make excuses. Just move on and soon you will get to where you want to be.
I remember the times where the band had bad times. There were times where our band had to cancel concerts due to bad response and all. But we didn't give up, we didn't disband, we didn't even stop making more concerts. It's when you try harder that people start seeing you for who you really are and appreciate you more.
At the time where our fan base diminished, we gather what little fans we had left and made a thank you concert. We played our guitar with feelings of gratitude and sincerity. With our fingers moving on its own and with our voices singing the words that it has always been singing, we sent our message across. Not knowing whether it made its way to our fans, we did what we could and were not afraid of the outcome.
Now after so many years after we left the band and started our own little families, those emotions and memories never left us. We still gather every now and then to do little gigs to whoever wants to listen and even though the music industry is so big, we made our mark; we left our emotions and our memories. And we know that our shinning moments will never disappear. So won't yours. So strive on...
