AFA 2012

A Concert, Festival and Stage!!!

Since I didn't really get to enjoy last year's AFA I made a promise to fully enjoy this year's AFA.

And so kept a lookout for event details and all. When it came out I was so excited to see TMR and FLOW in the list of artists that they are bringing down to AFA!!! So with much excitement bought the tickets. A VIP ticket for TMR's solo concert on Friday night and a Standard ticket for FLOW's concert which will be shared with four other artists. With the tickets I can only wait till the day I can enjoy the 3 wonderful days of AFA!!!

And when the day came I was overjoyed!!!

Friday, 9th Nov
Work as usual in the morning. Went off at knock-off time and got home to have lunch and a quick shower. Then got ready and went off to the EXPO. Took the train with transfers, one at Bishan, one at Paya lebar and one at Tanah Merah. Which was a bad choice that I realised later. Got there around 4 plus. Went to collect our tickets and redeem our light sticks. Since the door will not be opened till 6.30pm we went to slack at City Changi Point. We had Starbucks coffee frappe. We refreshed ourselves and got into Max Pavilion. We totally loved our seats! It was so near the stage and so centered! Love it! I got a nice clear view of TMR and his band mates. The bassist is so damn cute. He also helped out in ABS too. HAHAHA. Found that out via goggle. Totally enjoyed TMR's concert. All the songs were familiar and I couldn't help but sing along with him while grooving to the music. Totally in love with the songs and the concert! Wish to see him again. Takanori-san YOU WERE AWESOME THAT NIGHT!!!


Saturday, 10th Nov
After the concert the previous night and getting home nearing midnight couldn't help but wake up with much reluctance. But got up, bathe and got ready to have a day of festival, stage and concert. Went out of the house around 9plus. Took the bus to the airport then the train to EXPO. I realised that this was a much easier and faster way to the EXPO. Discovered it the night before when I was too tired to take the train with all the transfers and saw the train towards airport and remembered the bus numbered 858. And so we reached around 11plus. Got to the festival and bought items. The place was damn crowded. But we pushed through, queue and get our items. After a round at the fest, though we missed out some places since the queue was long and the place was crowded, we went to the stage area where we had some time for special events. AMUSE with BabyMetal, FLOW and special thriller of Samurai X, the movie. K anime special stage with KANAME and a compressed version of episodes 1 to 6. fripSide and m.o.ve greetings. Horipro with Daisuke Kishio, Sea☆A and May'n. Continued with the festival grounds and buying of stuffs. Get to see KANAME up close and smiled at him but nothing much happened. Then we wanted to see LiSA but something took place and she was late thus we decided to just go for dinner and get ready for the concert at night. Ate Texas chicken like super fast, refreshed and went to Max Pavilion. The show got delayed and our seat were not bad except for the fact the in the rows in front of us there were tall guys who just blocked my view. And since I wasn't so into the artists before FLOW I conserved my energy. And when FLOW came on I was hyper and enjoying their performance. Sang along to their songs too. Totally love FLOW!!! Wish it could be longer but since it was already midnight, they had to cut it short. Really feel down about that. But I hope that they will come over and have a solo concert! And so reached home nearing 1AM. Lucky our dad picked us up from the concert. Hee hee...


Sunday, 11th Nov
Feeling damn tired, dragged and forced myself out of bed and got ready. Wanted to take the taxi but there was none so took the bus instead and ended up reaching around 12. Went around the festival grounds which was much less crowded as compared to the previous day. Bought stuffs from places that we didn't really manage to get the day before and I am so happy to be able to buy a typical Japanese school bag. Went to the stage area and saw Bushiroad stage with performance from Aimi and a introduction of a new anime. There was also greetings from the artists performing that night, May'n, Sea☆A, Sphere and Minami Kuribayashi. Then since we didn't really want to stay so long, we went off to the festival ground and did one last round. Went off and got home safe but damn tired.

Overall it was money well spent!!! Can't wait for AFA 2013!
