Again I am rambling...
Monday, I went to work with a heavy heart. Only one week and I already feel the pressure and tiredness of the job. Some weak endurance I have. T_T
Anyway, the morning was pretty lonely since the rest came in a little late. And so I leisurely did some tagging, some reading and note taking. Then Mrs H had to leave the office for a while and so I was left with nothing much to do and thus I drafted the outline for my fan-fiction. ^_^
After which, when Ms S came, I passed her some articles info and a little summary for her to look through. But I wonder whether she did with the amount of work she has to do. *sigh* When Mrs H came back, both of Ms S and myself got down to getting info on certain people whom we would like to invite for an event coming up. This was no easy task. My eyes hurt badly after doing this task. My poor eyes. @_@ Since this job was high priority, I had to stay back for OT and even with that, the job wasn't complete. My dad called me when I wasn't home yet. T_T
As for Tuesday, I got into office early and got down to continuing my work from the previous day. This was done all the way till lunch time. Then I was told to do some calling and email-ing. Done that and was waiting for Mrs H to come back from some training. She left at 2 and came back only around 6 plus. And so while waiting for her, I had a little chat with Mr R. Always so philosophical. *__* I went home at 7 but the bus was so late. I saw three buses of the same number pass me by.
Wednesday, started the day off as usual. Actually I thought of taking some time off for my OT but since the team is rushing things for the event, I had to come in as usual and help out. I did some calling, compiling of information and updating them. I also replied emails and stuffs. Then in the afternoon, met the 'OEC' and that meeting is tense. Then I am put in charge in RSVP. Poor me. I then did mail merge and due to certain info not done up properly I had to do that first before I could mail merge. Then when it came down to printing, the printer is on a different floor and when I went up to that floor, their comp couldn't open up the file. Poor me. I had to do OT just to fix that up and get the letters printed out. *sigh* Despite the OT, I couldn't manage to finish getting them ready. Went home late thanks to Mr R who decided to talk about life. T_T
Today, Thursday, I went to work slightly later than usual. But I still reached the office before anyone else. *sigh* And so I started the comp which takes a long time to fully load. So while waiting I put the letters in the envelope, the ones that I couldn't manage to do yesterday. And when the comp starts, I check mail and stuffs. I did updating and finished up sealing the envelopes. *really starting to hate the job* Then did a few follow up calls and did readings of articles online. I went off early today since tomorrow is a public holiday. At least I manage to get a bit of rest this afternoon. Really feel so exhausted after the four days of working.
You know, after being a 'free' worker it's hard to work for people. Feels kind of constraint. In 2006 - 2007 I was a free agent. Though there is a manager and a team that I have to report to, I am free to conduct myself the way I want. Then in 2007 - 2008 I am a free teacher. Sure I was given instructions and everything but I was free in a sense that I am allowed to do the teaching my way and during my free time, I am allowed to do my own things. Then in 2009 I am a free-lance teacher and assistant. I was given a teaching job and the contents and I was free to conduct the lessons my way and as for assisting I was free and easy. Now being put under authority, I really am put in a spot. I don't have freedom and can't do things at my own pace and my own way. I guess because I have not been in that spot since I graduated it's hard to handle. I am used to being a free and carefree kind of person. Now my head hurts everyday and I don't get enough rest. *sian* Everyday is a drag.
Well it's a long weekend. I should enjoy it while it last. From next week onwards my week will be pack like crazy helping them with the upcoming event on that Saturday. T_T
