It’s a Sunday today and I am at Akano-nii’s home. Inochi-nii is also here with me. Akano’s mom is as always kind and cooked up a feast for us. It is a memorable place to be.
After lunch, Inochi-nii, Akano-nii and I are resting in Akano-nii’s room. I remembered that we use to spend countless of hours here playing, having fun and even studying. It’s such a nostalgic place.
Akano: It’s been a while since we had this kind of gathering. It brings back so many memories of the past.
Inochi: Yeah I agree. Mi-chan used to cry the most in this room due to her stress of not getting good results. And Akano always have to try to calm her down and convince her that it is alright. (laughs) I had so much fun laughing at the scene.
Mikomi: (pouts) It isn’t funny, Inochi-nii. I really had a hard time in junior high due to the high standard.
Akano: So how is high school? Stressful?
Mikomi: It’s ok for the moment but I think the stress will come soon. The tests are all coming up right after the school trip next week.
Akano: So early in the year?
Mikomi: Well I am already in 2nd year so it’s pretty normal. My 1st year was a breeze but I don’t think my 2nd year will be the same.
Akano: Do you need any help with your studies?
Mikomi: I might.
Inochi: Well then consider your nights wasted since I will make sure you get into university like me. I will help you monitor your progress from now on.
Mikomi: Eh? Then don’t I get time off for myself?
Inochi: You still have the afternoons and the weekends. I only need you to concentrate on your studies during the night. We will start at
Akano: You got yourself a tough teacher, Mi-chan. All the best.
Mikomi: I need the help but not the torture.
Inochi: If you want to go to university this is what you have to do since you didn’t start back in 1st year.
Mikomi: Guess I have no choice. Lucky I have no boyfriends at the moment.
Akano: Maybe you should get one.
Mikomi: (looking sad) Maybe.
Akano: Is there something wrong? The last time I talked to you about this topic, you had the same look on your face. Is there something you are not telling us? Is there a guy you like but he rejected you?
Mikomi: Nothing that extreme, Akano-nii. I do have a guy I like but I know of someone who is close to him and likes him too. And the worst is that I know her too. She told me about her crush on him and so I can’t voice it out to her or anyone else. I really like this guy but I am giving him up.
Akano: Because of your friend?
Mikomi: Yes. And besides I am not that close to him. He may not even know I exist.
Akano: Surely it isn’t that bad?
Inochi: Who are they?
Mikomi: My classmate and a senior in her club.
Inochi: We need to investigate more. Tell us more details on how you got to know him and what made you have such feelings for him. We need to analyze the situation.
Mikomi: I’ll tell you the whole story. It happened last year during summer vacation.
