Talking about NEWS, their latest single is coming out. Watched their PV for Koi no ABO. Was interesting but what's with the Saturday Night Fever theme? Guess anything goes for them. However I do find their song catchy and will listen to it over and over again.
Back to Yamapi, before his debut as a member of NEWS, he was in B.I.G and Four Tops (with Hasegawa, Kazama and Ikuta). In 2003, NEWS was formed to cheer on the female volleyball national team. It carried on for a while before they had to stop group activities for a while. But then they got back on track on December 31st 2006. And they are still on going with their activities. Good for them.
Yamapi produced a few solo singles outside his group. The first one is a collaboration with Kamenashi Kazuya (KAT-TUN). It was for their drama Nobuta wo Produce. Their single is titled Seishun Amigo. They form a duo "Shuuji to Akira" for this single. It's a nice song.
Another single is a solo for his drama Kurosagi title Daite Senorita. Kurosagi also has a movie version of it. The song is a nice one too.
In 2006, to support the female volleyball team, Kitty GYM was formed with Yamapi as a member. Other members include Golf and Mike, Kitayama, Inoo, Totsuka and Yaotome. Their release is titled Fever to Future. It's nice.
Yamapi has other dramas like Proposal Daisakusen and Code Blue. Hope to see more of him. Till then...
